Saimoe 2009: Block Finals Day 1 – Tacos wins

Final vote count:

ARCHIVE:
9.50PM: Final rush, here we come. In about an hours’ time we will find who has had a stronger finish, and/or whether my suspicions below are true.

8.15PM: Chiaki’s still keeping it tight. Tacos apparently has 2 times the amount of fakes as compared to Chiaki, so it’s getting a bit dangerous for her. But the lack of activity from the Saki faction is indeed suspicious. I wonder whether they have opted for strategic voting instead and fake-voted for Chiaki with fake vote codes.

Might do one more update just before the final rush to see how things are going.

6.00PM: At this rate, Chiaki may actually spring a suprise win. Where did the Saki faction go? It’s getting a bit suspicious here, but I won’t jump to conclusions for now. Let’s wait a while more, shall we?

3.20PM: Back. Well, it’s quite a suprise here, as Chiaki is still within touching distance of Tacos. Unless the votes for her involve many fake votes codes, but judging by the number of low number of fakes so far, signs do look good. The turn-out seems a bit mediocre today, but things will probably heat up in the later stages.

7.15AM: Chiaki’s not so far away from Tacos for now, but will she be able to sustain the challenge? We’ll find out in the afternoon.

Anyway school resumes as per normal for me, but there’ll be some days I’ll have either a short day or long breaks in between. I’ll try to update as often as I can.

Saimoe 2009: R3 Day 8 – Kyapten and Nagi wins

Final vote count:

ARCHIVE:
7.10PM: Still the same two in the lead, but Nagi still has be careful here. The amount of solo votes for Nagi is 3 times that of Saki, and thus the probability of her accumulating fakes are high. Though some may argue that the reason for her high votes is due to the KugiRie appeal.

1.40PM: Still an amazing number of votes of Nagi, but the fakes are starting to increase rapidly. Time for HnG faction to be wary.

11.15AM: The number of solo votes for Nagi is quite amazing, and if it keeps going, Nagi may well claim victory over Saki today. The amount of fakes are relatively low for now, so assuming that there’s only a small proportion of fake vote codes being used [unlike what happened during Maria's and Ayumu's match], Nagi’s lead should be legitimate. It seems to me that’s the case so far, so good news for Hayate fans. As for the other match, split between Ritsu and Ushio isn’t helping them much, as Kyapten distances herself away from them. At this rate, Kyapten’s win should be sealed early today.

Saimoe 2009: R3 Day 7 – Eruruu and Nodoka wins

Final vote count:

Match analysis to follow…

ARCHIVE:
9.10PM: Zzz…see you in 2 hours’ time for final resultzzz…

6.30PM: Really nothing much in it today. Horribly low turn-out. Nagato may still catch up with Eruruu though, seeing that hardly anyone voted for Haruhi over the past 2.5 hours or so. We’ll see her chances of doing so in a few hours’ time. Anyway, I’m lol-ing at Nodocchi being mentioned as oppai-san in a couple of votes.

3.50PM: Quite a yawner we have today, not much development with the exception of Nodocchi further distancing herself from Miyako. Fakes are low, so it’s a good sign.

1.30PM: Ok, I’m quite late today, after doing all the coding yesterday. Anyway, Eruruu and Nodoka are as expected, leading. Nodoka is slowly extending her lead while Nagato runs close behind Eruruu. At the way things are going, Haruhi may be sacrificed and Nagato may be able to challenge Eruruu for the rest of the day.

Saimoe 2009: R3 Day 6 – Minorin and Taiga wins

Final vote count:

VOTE COUNTER FAILED.
I’m sorry for giving HnG fans false hope.
TIME TO RE-CODE.

ARCHIVE:
9.30PM: HnG faction in full force. But I’m still suspicious of Taiga’s deficit. This match could be akin to the match where Stealth Momo and Kyou, where there’s “hidden” votes and a huge number of fake vote codes being used. So even though it seems that Maria will secure victory today, it may not be the case.

8.00PM: Ok peeps, HnG combo votes have just overtaken that of Toradora. If you’re wondering what’s up with the gap between Ayumu and Maria, well there’s a lot of solo votes for Maria, and also the Maria+Minorin combo is twice the number of Taiga+Ayumu, which also explains why Minorin has more votes than Taiga. It is very suspicious that the number of solo votes for Taiga is low, and I wonder what’s really going on…I sense there’re quite a substantial no of fakes revolving around vote codes. I’ll do one more update before the final rush begins.

5.55PM: Things have just got interesting! The HnG faction is starting to come strong now and Maria has overtaken Taiga! And it seems that it’s not over for Ayumu yet. And here’s some extra information: Toradora characters have two times the number of fakes than that of HnG’s. How will Taiga fans respond now?

3.45PM: The fakes have started to increase by a high amount, with the Toradora characters being more involved. As it stands now, Maria is starting to run Taiga close. However, Ayumu’s slipping up a bit, which is bad news since she has ground to make up for.

1.30PM: Yup, seems that I’m right. HnG faction has started to come in to reduce their character’s deficit. The deficit between Ayumu and Minorin has been reduced from 81 to 56, and as for Maria vs Taiga, the deficit has been reduced from 37 to 29. Will the momentum enable the HnG characters to seize the lead?

11.10AM: Signs are not good for Maria and Ayumu. There are relatively lower number of fakes recorded so far, so the leads should be legitimate. Still, it’s too early to call it a day as we all know, the HnG faction tends to show up later in the day.

Anyway, today’s updates will be more frequent than yesterday as a compensation for being late for the first count for the past few days it’s the weekends. =D
